I'm a chiropractic physician who practices clinical nutrition and have reviewed many nutritional MLM products. Some are really good. However I think when push comes to shove these are not necessarily the best products. After a few months if a distributor is not making money they will find it hard to shell out the $50 to a $100 a month for something that they may not see as a necessity. I see this in my own office. No matter how much a supplement may or has helped a patient if they feel they can't afford it they won't buy it or will discontinue it's use. Weight loss however is a huge industry and I think this niche is a great one and works well in the MLM industry.

There are also other factors to consider when choosing a company like how stable is it? How long have they been around? How fast are they growing? Is there momentum and excitement? Does it have a great compensation plan? You have to look at the big picture.

Network Marketing Tip Two:

Build a business and not a down line. Most network marketing companies focus on building a down line. If you look at the top earners in MLM companies they build a business. They do this by offering tools to their group. Techniques that could be applied to any business model and everyone follows the same principles. It needs to be easy, simple and duplicate able. Companies come and go. But, if you build your business correctly if and when this happens you can simply dust yourself off, regroup and a few months later you are back in the saddle again going strong with a new company. Network Marketing Tip Three:

Find the most successful people in network marketing, find out what they are doing and duplicate it. There are a few commonalities that I have found among the top producers (1) They do some sort of attraction marketing which is the most powerful way to build a business (not just a down line). (2) They have their own websites with unique URL's and don't use the ones issued from their parent companies. These are just to name a few. I'll share some more ways to learn about these types of techniques later.

Use the internet. There are so many ways to build your business online without ever having to do a party, contact your friends, family and neighbors. The internet, in my opinion, is a must if you are to build a strong and long term business. Think of how many people have smart phones, iPads and Notebooks these days. Everyone is one them and in most cases where people go for almost anything and everything they want to know. The internet is not just used for marketing and capturing leads but, it is also used to communicate with a group (maybe your group). Developing a Facebook group for your team is a good way to do this. You must approach the use of the internet correctly though. If you come across as a salesman or being too pushy you can destroy your business. This is where attraction marketing fits in.

Network Marketing Tip Five:

Treat it like a business. There is so much to learn initially that it is easy to get overwhelmed. There are literally hundreds of network marketing tips online that one could follow. Begin with one and master it. Then move to another. Your business needs time to grow. You will have to work hard at it for at least two years. So many people get discouraged because they thought they would get involved and in three months be rich. Living a life of total freedom is something that we might all be looking to achieve. How To Find The Perfect Prospects And Explode Your MLM Business

What's the easiest way to recruit the perfect prospects for your network marketing business?

This is an important question because more than half of network marketers have no idea who they're marketing to and almost the other half doesn't know how to utilize an effective system in their marketing efforts.

Now, let me ask you this: Do you know who you're supposed to be marketing to?

Before you answer yes I want you to look at your results (usually your bank account) and then answer the question.

Targeting the wrong group of people is one of the biggest reasons why people quit network marketing, they just don't know it. They think the business model doesn't work and spent endless amounts of money trying to promote their business only to come out broke, frustrated, and angry.

It doesn't matter how much money you spend on advertising because if you target the wrong market, you lose your money. And even if a majority of your website traffic is from your target market and you don't have the correct capture forms that pull on the emotional triggers of your prospects, you lose again.

So How Do You Find Your Target Market For Your Perfect Prospects?

There are two ways to effectively find your target market and one way is to target the people who have already bought something related to what you are currently promoting for your primary business.

If you are promoting nutritional supplements designed for weight loss, then you should be studying the individuals who have already dished out cash for products similar to what you have. Also, where are they searching and why?

You should be going after people who are already buying weight loss shakes, diet pills, meal replacements, protein powders, etc. What they're already spending money on is the only proof you need. Those are your perfect prospects.

It has to be laser targeted and specifically similar to what your primary opportunity is. If you go after the entire weight loss niche, you'll end up with nobody. Remember, if you have proof that your target prospect is already spending money on nutritional products, and you are promoting nutritional products, then why would you target prospects who buy exercise equipment? They're not your perfect prospects.

It's not the same and don't fool yourself into thinking it is. For instance, somebody could be looking for a work from home job but has no interest what-so-ever in network marketing. They'd rather be a virtual assistant, bill collector, or stuffing envelopes. All of the work falls under the scope of "work from home" or "home based business" but are entirely different. Network marketers are business owners, the rest are employees.

Think of it like this:

If you are the owner of a sporting complex and you want to sell hotdogs, how would you choose to sell them if you had these two options?

Option 1

Fly over the stadium in a helicopter and drop hundreds of hotdogs into the stands.

Option 2

Have a hotdog vendor walk up and down the stadium bleachers with a crate full of hotdogs asking (in this case yelling) who would like a hotdog?

Which one is more targeted and will spend the least amount of money?

Option 1 can be likened to the network marketer who plasters (spamming) their opportunity link all over the social network platforms in hopes someone will step out from the crowd with any amount of interest. Why would you advertise something that you have no idea who has interest or even knows what you're talking about.

Option 2 can be compared to the network marketer who has blasted solo ads, ran PPC campaigns, placed ads in ezines, sent out direct mail postcards, etc. to their perfect and targeted prospect.

What I have explained so far is an effective way to find your perfect prospect, and I recommend to fully utilize the strategy above, but it's still not the most perfect prospect.

Who are your perfect prospects and how do you find them?

Your Perfect Prospects Are Other Network Marketers.

This could be network marketers coming out of retirement, ones that are failing and looking for a new opportunity, or ones that are just looking for a new opportunity.

More times than not, the network marketers you will gain interest from are the ones who are currently failing and want solutions. They're tired of trying the old outdated techniques that don't work anymore.

They're tired of spending money on internet and traffic tactics that don't work. They want answers and to finally start making the money they first expected when they became a network marketing distributor.

So what would be your perfect product be to offer on the front end? Something that gives them this information.

You want to position yourself as someone who can run a viable, profitable home based business... and... provide a solution that they can purchase for less than $100 for them to do the same, you've nailed down your perfect prospect.

Can you do the due diligence? Doing that can save you a lot of possible heartache in the future.

Online Competition And Your Small Business

Times change, and your business must innovate and change with those change the times. The other day, I was talking to an individual at the local coffee shop. He ran a specialty shop and had catalogs he sent out and he was well-known in his industry. He did telemarketing sales, had catalogs, and did a tremendous amount of marketing. He was the go to guy for his particular business niche. He told me that he retired about 15 years ago, and he was very glad to get out when he did. He explained to me that the "information highway" as it was called back then had competition popping up all over the place.

It didn't matter that he had an incredible amount of experience, the best products, or a huge customer list. Soon his customers were asking him to match price with those online. Some of those that had websites were offering products they didn't even have, that only he made, and then they would try to place large orders with him, and sell those products to his former customers online. He said it was getting a little crazy, so he sold his business. The business she sold is no longer around, the new owner merged it with a dot com around the year 2000 just prior to the crash.

Apparently the individual he sold to also made money, but not from selling products, rather from selling the business. Fast-forward to today, and you must understand if you have a small business you are competing with online businesses that may have little or no cost, and you are competing while you still have to pay for the inventory, your location, and everything that goes with running a brick-and-mortar store, all the while your competition doesn't have any of those reoccurring obligations and costs.

Often, you are buying from the same supplier at the same price, but your costs are higher, therefore you get into a price war you just can't compete. There is a way to compete however, and there are many products in which the people want to actually see before they take delivery of it, thus the justification for a real store, they don't wish to go online and buy something because they don't trust it. Still, even though there are good reasons not to trust online venues as a consumer, more and more customers are taking that risk, it is making it harder and harder for many brick-and-mortar small businesses to compete.

Some say if you can't beat them you should join them, and perhaps that's my advice to you. Another piece of good news is that because anything goes on internet, on many forums - many of the products that are posted are of a very low-quality that means that if you post a product that shows great results, a step by step system, a bold promise, some of your own case studies, or all the above you will convert very well.

The key is just have something that seems brand new. If you have ten hours of great training for $10 and it something you have used, others have used and gotten great results from whether that is extra money, saves time or just any problem they were having difficulty with before you will convert very well. Even though it may seem like I said some bad things about the forum such as they will rarely buy above $10 and there are a lot of low-quality offers, you need to look at this as a source of lead generation.
