Keeping focused in your home business is essential to achieveing success. When you start or started your business you should have had a reason to start that business. Many start a home based business because they want to earn extra money to pay bills or to be able to save for some large purchase. Once you have your short term and log term goals in place it is time to develop focus to keep you on track to reach those goals.
Keeping focus is easy in the beginning but as the days, weeks and months go by focus sometimes get a little fuzzy and less clear. Being passionate about your goal will help you keep a clear vision of the goals you have but as you know things happen and circumstances and setbacks come along that dim your sight. I am a fan of the Rocky movies with Sylvester Stallone. The main character Rocky digs deep with in when times get tough and he learns to over come adversity from his back ground, his family life and even the loss of his close friend and trainer he felt his purpose and goals to be the top had all crumbled when his past opponent and now friend could see he had lost his focus. Apollo Creed offered to help him get his focus back or the "eye of tiger" back. When all Rocky could see was defeat and loss his Friend Apollo and His wife Adrian told him it was over unless he decided deep with in to keep going and stay focused. The result if you have watched the movie is Rocky regained the Title and regained his own focus and self respect.
When you own a Home Based Business it may be easy to quit and give up but if your goal is truly worth while and honorable then you owe it to yourself and your family to keep going and get that "eye of the tiger" look that lets the person you see in the mirror that you mean business and then give a concentrated effort towards performing the tasks necessary to reach your goals.
By digging deep inside you and developing a plan of action and doing the necessary activities to focus your efforts to grow a stronger business. You too will be the Champion. Maybe not a boxing Champion like Rocky in the movies but You will be a Champion when you look in the mirror and know you did not give up!
